1. Myles Garrett, EDGE

Okay, so Myles Garrett is a bit of an outlier among the five players that you’d consider standouts at Browns training camp to this point. While the rest of the guys are either rookies or players that have been rarely used in their careers to this point, Garrett has already established himself as a budding star in this league — or a superstar already having arrived, depending on who you ask about him.

That’s not an inaccurate assessment of Garrett to this point either. Through just two seasons and 27 games played (25 starts), the Texas A&M product has already racked up 20.5 sacks, 75 combined tackles, 21 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and 47 quarterback hits. Suffice it to say that he has already announced his presence.

Yet, there is a strong chance that he could be even more of a menace in 2019. Furthermore, the additions of Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson on the defensive line should give Garrett more room to operate. Furthermore, new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks is also ready to unleash the edge rusher more often.

On top of that, Wilks has praised Garrett’s work in the run game in training camp already as he’s shown major improvements in that area, per Browns Wire. When you combine that with the fact that the third-year pro is also a constant force in the pass rush, Garrett is showing in camp that he could well be in line for a season that elevates him to unquestioned superstar status.
