4. Bradberry nabs his second INT in as many weeks

James Bradberry was everywhere for the Panthers in their Week 1 loss at the hands of the Rams. The No. 1 cornerback in the Carolina defense filled up the stat sheet with four total tackles, a sack, two pass defenses and an interception off of Jared Goff. For a player that needed to step up quickly in the 2019 season, Bradberry answered the call.

He’ll continue to do so against the Buccaneers. While the corner will not have an easy matchup against a tough Tampa Bay wide receiver corps, he’ll benefit from the inconsistent accuracy and poor decision-making of Jameis Winston. Expect Bradberry to make another big play on the football and come away with his second interception of the season.

3. Cam sacked three or more times again

It can’t all be positive for the Panthers, especially with the way that their offensive line performed in Week 1 against the Rams. There’s no question that the Buccaneers offer a less potent front than what Los Angeles does but the Carolina O-line is still troublesome at best. And considering the rust that Cam Newton showed in Week 1, that could carry over on the short week and lead to him taking some sacks.

Newton was taken down on three occasions last week by the Rams. That will repeat again this week, at minimum. He’s undoubtedly a terrific athlete that can lengthen plays with his legs but even the greatest athletes at quarterback go down when they’re consistently pressured, which is likely to be the case all year behind this Carolina line for Newton.
