It’s really unclear what the New England Patriots were thinking when they signed Antonio Brown. Once one of the best wide receivers in the game, he simply has become untouchable in the NFL for several reasons. In addition to being a headache to deal with in relation to the field — see his helmet incident as well as outbursts with Ben Roethlisberger — he’s also been accused of some heinous activities off the field.

For some reason though, the Patriots thought they could take him in and he would just conform to the “Patriot Way.” Of course, AB continued to be the whirlwind of chaos he’s proven to be and he also allegedly sent intimidating texts to a woman accusing him of misconduct.
That was likely the No. 1 reason he was cut by New England after just one game but it surely wasn’t the only. Head coach Bill Belichick also looked beyond annoyed with answering questions about the player, but again what did they think would happen when they added a nuclear bomb to the roster.
Fortunately for them, they didn’t need Brown. They showed that once again on Sunday as they made it look easy against the New York Jets. New England remains undefeated as they look to win their seventh Super Bowl title this season. There’s still no reason to think they won’t be in the mix at the end and they really could be better without the drama that Brown brought
