31. New York Jets (31)

Between Sam Darnold doing his best to return to full strength along with the fact that through three games the offense has only scored 33 points, September was a rough month for the New York Jets.

Hopefully, the early bye week will give the Jets a better chance to recover heading into Week 5 since this team is going to need all of the extra help possible on Sunday when hitting the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

After seeming to finally have found a quarterback to build the franchise around in Darnold, New York seemed like they would finally be able to emerge as a potential sleeper in the AFC.

Not to mention, the Jets came up big in free agency by signing Le’Veon Bell to help take some of the pressure off Darnold under center as well.

The good news for New York is since it’s only been one month of regular season action, there’s still plenty of time to turn things around, but also that’s always easier said than done playing in the same division as the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills.

Once Darnold is finally healthy enough to play again, whenever that may be, it will be interesting to see what kind of position the Jets are in since no matter what, it’s going to be a difficult battle to overcome.
