5. Graham records three sacks for second game in row
Watching the defense of the Philadelphia Eagles finish with 10 sacks last Sunday against the New York Jets was a huge relief for Doug Pederson‘s squad when seeing how much they previously struggled to get to opposing quarterbacks.
As for whether the defense can carry this momentum over to Week 6 when the Eagles take on the Minnesota Vikings, well the good news for Philadelphia is Kirk Cousins hasn’t exactly received the best protection from his offensive line on a consistent basis.
Take a look at a few weeks ago for example when Cousins was the unfortunate victim of being sacked six times in a loss to the Chicago Bears, and the Eagles should feel confident in applying plenty of pressure to the Vikings quarterback.
After failing to record a single sack over the first four weeks, Brandon Graham was one of the players on defense that benefitted the most from facing the Jets after recording the hat trick for sacks.
Doing the same against Cousins will definitely be more of a challenge, but also possible for Graham during Week 6.
If this does end up happening, Graham will put the Eagles in great position to earn that third win in a row to keep up with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East standings.
