Green Bay Packers: 5 Players to target at 2019 NFL Trade Deadline
By Joe Kipp
5. O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The chances of the Buccaneers actually trading tight end O.J. Howard remain very slim. But for the right price, maybe Tampa Bay would consider. Howard has been extremely lackluster so far in 2019, a far cry from where he was just a season ago.

Buccaneers first-year head coach Bruce Arians has never been known for utilizing tight ends in his offensive scheme, which could sway whether the team considers to deal their former first-round tight end. Howard has recorded just 13 receptions for 176 yards and has scored no touchdowns in six games this season.
The former Alabama product was considered one of the most talented tight end prospects of the past decade when he was drafted. Howard was taken 19th overall in the 2017 draft and had 60 receptions for 997 yards and 11 touchdowns entering the 2019 season.
At 6-5 and 250 pounds, Howard would provide the Packers with a true dual threat in Matt LaFleur’s offense. He’s shown the ability to stretch the field and run-block effectively when called upon.
Green Bay doesn’t have a true complete tight end currently on the roster, so trading for Howard, who’s still on his rookie deal, would be a welcomed addition. Perhaps a third-round pick would get this trade done.
