It’s been rough watching the Philadelphia Eagles try and cover wide receivers the past two seasons. Their secondary has been suspect and this year, they’re 29th in the league in passing yards surrendered according to NFL.com with more than 280 yards per game. They’ve addressed this in recent drafts, landing players such as Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones but the problems remain. In this mock, they head back to the drawing board and give Paulson Adebo a shot.

The Stanford corner was better in 2018 than he has been in 2019 but he still has all the tools needed to be a star in the NFL. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds, he has the length to go toe-to-toe with any receiver, something this team desperately needs.

LSU has turned out some solid cornerbacks in recent seasons with Greedy Williams being their biggest star in 2019. They also have a freshman who is standing out in Derek Stingley, Jr. His play has often made it easy to forget about Kristian Fulton who was actually the better coverage corner last season between him and Williams.

For the Oakland Raiders, they end up with their first of two picks here, and they’re taking their first rookie much later than anticipated. After a slow start, they’ve turned things around and are performing better than expected. Time will tell if they can keep that up but even if they can’t this season, their ability to continue to add young talent makes them a team to watch going forward.
