Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 Bold predictions vs. Jets, Week 8
By Larry Brake
D.J. Chark will have a monstrous game
D.J. Chark is quickly emerging as a high-level receiver. Also, he seems to be developing quite the chemistry with Minshew. He will figure big in Sunday’s game against an average Jets secondary. The Jets will, no doubt, stack the box to stop the Jaguars running game. Chark will benefit from man coverage. His physicality is a mismatch against most cornerbacks. They can not cover him.
In 2019, he has caught 33 passes for 581 yards with five touchdowns. He is averaging 17.6 yards per reception. He moves the chains with each catch.
The Jets defense is giving up an average of 260 passing yards per game. Chark should draw coverage by Jets cornerback Trumaine Johnson. You should look for Jamal Adams to help Johnson shadow Chark.
Chark is a big-play receiver. On Sunday, he will make big plays. The Jaguars offense will thrive through the power of the Jaguars defense. The defense will give the offense good field position all day long.
This game will follow the same script as the 2018 matchup. The Jaguars will take control early and win convincingly. In this tale of two teams, it will be the best of times for Jacksonville and the worst of times for New York.
