New England Patriots (8-1) at Philadelphia Eagles (5-4)

Sunday, November 17, 4:25PM ET

Despite their loss to the Ravens in Week 9, the New England Patriots are still one of the most dangerous clubs in 2019. Coming off a bye week, you better believe Bill Belichick will have his team ready to get back to their winning ways against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Really, though, what it comes down to his New England’s outstanding defense. Carson Wentz hasn’t been a superstar this season, and injuries have derailed this Philadelphia offense a bit. Even when they do get going, they aren’t as unstoppable as they have been in recent years. Look for the Patirots defense to make it hard for the Eagles to get going on Sunday.

Oh, and then there’s the whole Tom Brady part of the equation. The Patriots offense hasn’t been what you’d call deadly this season, but they haven’t needed to be. However, in what should be a tough matchup, you better believe the future Hall of Famer will be at his very best against a middle-of-the-road pass defense.

The Eagles won’t go down without a fight. They’ll keep things within reach until the very end, but Brady and the Patriots defense will get the best of them. It should be a great game that ultimately sees New England get one step closer to looking up a first-round bye during the playoffs.

Prediction: Patriots win 34-29
