Dallas Cowboys (5-4) at Detroit Lions (3-5-1)
Sunday, November 17, 1PM ET
Would Matthew Stafford being available for this game make a difference? If we’re talking about the final score, probably. If we’re talking about the eventual winner, probably not. One way or another, I’m picking the Dallas Cowboys to defeat the Detroit Lions in Week 11.
Here’s why. This game pits the No. 1 offense in the NFL against the No. 30 defense. Put simply, the Cowboys will have no problem moving the ball up and down the field against the Lions. Dak Prescott will probably shred the Detroit secondary in the first half, with Ezekiel Elliott having his way on the ground in the second half.
However it plays out, my prediction is the Cowboys crush the Lions on the scoreboard — especially if they’re forced to start Jeff Driskel again. Even if Stafford is good to go, I still don’t see him finding the end zone enough against Dallas’ No. 7 defense to keep up in the points department.
The Cowboys have been great this year against inferior competition, but have struggled against contenders. Coming off a tough loss to the Minnesota Vikings, they’ll gladly take a matchup with a Lions team that has failed to maintain their early-season success.
Prediction: Cowboys win 35-23
