Baltimore Ravens (8-2) at Los Angeles Rams (6-4)
Monday, November 25, 8:15PM ET
I don’t know what happened to the Los Angeles Rams. Maybe Jared Goff realized he was a mediocre quarterback after all, or the sudden drop in Todd Gurley‘s effectiveness has devastated their ability to field a fearsome offense. All of the above?
Either way, it hasn’t been pretty. Yes, they’re 6-4 and still in the playoff hunt. But they’re one of the most underwhelming above-.500 teams in the league, and are likely alive only because of their defense. Well, they’ve got the test of the season on Monday night against a Baltimore Ravens team that is red hot.
As good as their defense can be at times, I don’t think they’ll be up to the task of slowing Lamar Jackson. The frontrunner for the MVP award has been simply unstoppable in recent weeks, running over one quality defense after another. As a result, the offense is on fire. And to make matters worse for opponents, the Baltimore D has been getting better along the way as well.
The Rams will have their hands full against the Ravens. Unless Goff has some epiphany and starts playing like the $33 million/year quarterback they paid him to be, it’s going to get ugly in a hurry. I wouldn’t be surprised if Baltimore ran away with this one.
Prediction: Ravens win 43-24
