1. Falcons will fall to 1-5 at home

Although Atlanta has played well as of late, winning two of its last three games, those two victories came on the road with the Week 12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came back at home at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Coming into the Week 13 matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night on national television, the Falcons have struggled at home this season, which is somewhat surprising from a team that has traditionally been pretty dominant on their home field and in front of their home fans in Atlanta.

Atlanta is 1-4 overall at home in the 2019 campaign, with the lone win of the year coming in a 24-20 Week 2 win against the Philadelphia Eagles. At this point in the regular season, the Falcons are one of five teams in the NFC and one of seven teams overall to have just one win or less at home this year.

It’s odd to see Atlanta struggle so mightily at home as it has thus far in the 2019 campaign, especially considering the Falcons grabbed four wins at home in 2018 and went 5-3 at home during the 2017 regular season.

This week against the Saints, Atlanta will drop its fifth game of the year in front of its home crowd and will finish the regular season with a home record below the .500 mark for the first time in the last five years.
