1. Gardner Minshew must move the offense

The unheralded rookie from Washington State has captured the heart of the Jaguars fans. After an uninspiring preseason, Gardner Minshew grasped the reigns of the offense and has never looked back. After the return from injury of Nick Foles, Minshew has added another chapter to his legend.

Minshew engineered the comeback victory in the final game at the Oakland Coliseum. He has to build upon that momentum. He has to move the Jacksonville offense up and down the field.

He has appeared in 12 games and has completed 245 passes for 2,795 yards with 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has been sacked 27 times by the opposition.

In Atlanta, Minshew has to move the chains and keep the Falcons offense on the sideline. He should make quick reads and make decisive throws. In certain situations, he should use his feet to run downfield.

Playoff hopes are gone for both teams in this Week 16 matchup. Jacksonville might be able to impose their will on the Falcons defense. Remember, they faced each other in the preseason finale in August.

Let’s hope that Minshew mania will run rampant all game long. He seems to play well on the road regardless of the atmosphere. On Sunday, Minshew must move the offense to win the game decisively.
