29. Washington Redskins (26)
While it was frustrating for the Washington Redskins to come up short against the New York Giants in overtime after losing 41-35 on Sunday, at least the offense seems to have a bright future with Dwayne Haskins under center.
Even though Haskins did leave the game early with an ankle injury, just watching the Ohio State product continue to make progress makes it seem like the Redskins made the right decision after all back in April when they used a first-round pick on the quarterback.
Completing 12 of 15 passes for 133 yards to go along with two touchdowns may not seem like the biggest deal in the world, but when looking back at some of the previous numbers displayed by Haskins, Washington should be pleased with the rookie.
The Redskins only having three wins with only one game to go obviously isn’t what Washington had in mind at the beginning of the season, but hopefully the early experience by Haskins pays off in the long run.
At the end of the day, Haskins gaining the early rookie experience to help him learn is what should really matter the most for the Redskins, as they finally seem to have a reliable young quarterback to build the franchise around.
