32. Detroit Lions
After the first month of regular-season action, the Detroit Lions seemed like they were going to be a surprise contender in the NFC before it all fell apart over the next three months.

Not only did the Lions only finish with three wins in 2019, but the team ended the regular season on a nine-game losing streak, leaving plenty of questions heading into next year.
Sadly, Detroit can’t even use the excuse of Matthew Stafford‘s injury since the struggles were already taking place before this happened, and most likely wouldn’t have made that much of a difference.
Heading into 2020, it’s safe to assume that Matt Patricia will start the new season on the hot seat since there was some speculation the Lions head coach would be out of a job after his second year with the team.
Part of the reason behind the decision to bring Patricia on board in 2018 was due to the fact that Detroit seemed to be on the verge of becoming a playoff contender once again in the NFC, only to take a major step back two years later.
The Lions may feel confident in giving Patricia another chance to prove himself in 2020, but after the results of this past season, Detroit has plenty of areas in need of improvement over the next few months.
