55. . . Previous: 22nd. Pittsburgh Steelers. 22. team

One can only imagine how different the playoffs could have been if the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t collapse during the final three weeks of the regular season, but hopefully Mike Tomlin’s team can use the offseason to get healthy.

Despite getting off to a horrendous start, the Steelers somehow found a way to turn things around to be in position for a playoff spot in the AFC before things started to fall apart from Week 15 on.

The fact that Pittsburgh only scored 10 points in each of their final three games shows why the Steelers failed to earn a Wild Card spot after losing three games in a row, and while there’s every reason to believe the team will bounce back in 2020, there is no guarantee.

For starters, the Steelers are unsure of what to expect from Ben Roethlisberger after the veteran quarterback missed most of the 2019 season due to an elbow injury, and learned the hard way that Mason Rudolph or Devlin Hodges is far from the answer under center.

If Big Ben gets healthy enough to look like his usual self on offense, Pittsburgh will be in much better position to compete for better results in 2020.

But if there are any setbacks, the Steelers could be in for another year of disappointment similar to this past season, so here’s to hoping this is far from the case.
