2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if Redskins replace Dwayne Haskins with Tua Tagovailoa?
By Dan Parzych
Will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers make the difficult decision this offseason to finally move on from Jameis Winston after five seasons?
After watching Winston throw for more than 5,000 yards to go along with 33 touchdown passes, it would seem like an easy decision for the Buccaneers to bring the former No. 1 pick back for another year in 20202.
However, between Winston recently finishing with 30 interceptions along with the fact that he’s never led Tampa Bay to the playoffs, a fresh start could be best for both parties.
At least if the Buccaneers do decide to move on from Winston, the team will have a few options worth considering in the draft, whether it happens to be the first round or later on.
As for which quarterback could potentially be a solid option at No. 14, some will make the case that Tampa Bay should hold off until at least the second round for someone like Jordan Love out of Utah State.
But also, if Love turns out to be the option they want, the Buccaneers could be at risk to losing the quarterback to another team in need of help at the position as well.
Unfortunately, turnovers were a major issue during Love’s final year at Utah State in 2019 after finishing with 17 interceptions, but at least he makes up for it in other areas.
