Arizona Cardinals: Chris Harris

Most likely, the Arizona Cardinals will look to the draft to help fill their need at the cornerback position. But if they were looking for a long-shot candidate to consider in free agency, Chris Harris is a name who immediately comes to mind.

More from NFL Spin Zone

At the moment, Arizona appears to be set with starters in Patrick Peterson and Byron Murphy, but also this doesn’t mean the Cardinals shouldn’t consider all options for 2020.

While no one needs to explain just how great of a cornerback Peterson has been for the most part throughout his career, Murphy did struggle at times during his rookie campaign in 2019, although the Cardinals obviously shouldn’t be giving up on the Washington product just yet.

After spending the last nine years in Denver, Harris appears to be heading towards a fresh start on a new team this offseason, and even though the preference may be to join a contender, money always talks in the NFL.

Depending on if Arizona would be willing to offer more money compared to other teams, the addition of someone like Harris would not only provide the needed depth at the position but could also result in the Cardinals focusing on other positions during the draft.
