Buffalo Bills land potential star cornerback in 7-round 2020 mock draft

Another free agent the Bills lost in free agency was Shaq Lawson, who stayed in the AFC East to sign with the Miami Dolphins. Lawson might have never reached his full potential as the No. 19 overall pick in the NFL back in 2016 but he was still a good starting defensive end and had his best season in 2019.
With him gone, Buffalo needs to add more talent and they do just that here with the selection of Darrell Taylor out of Tennessee. Taylor has a good burst off the snap and is an underrated pass rusher in this class. He recorded 16.5 sacks over the past two seasons and will benefit from joining a team that’s as defensive focused as the Bills are.
With their fourth-round pick, the Bills land a player who can replace Frank Gore as their power back in A.J. Dillon out of Boston College. Dillon is a massive running back at 6-0 and 247 pounds and answered questions about his speed by running a 4.53 in the 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine.
Devin Singletary was a good running back for Buffalo last season but he had trouble with staying on the field and was slowed down in a few games last season. Having someone with Dillon’s skillset that can come in and punish the defense some should help — and he can start should Singletary miss more time this coming season.
