Tennessee Titans: Potential backup quarterback targets for 2020

5. Joe Flacco, Unrestricted Free Agent
The Denver Broncos saw it best to part ways with veteran quarterback Joe Flacco in hopes of second-year quarterback Drew Lock earning the starting gig for good. While Flacco isn’t the sexiest option out there, there are certainly worst options out there to have in a backup role.

Flacco has been in the NFL for a whopping 12 seasons (with a 98-73 record) and has essentially seen it all. When leading the offense as the signal-caller for the 2012 Super Bowl-winning Baltimore Ravens, Flacco threw for 11 touchdowns without an interception in that postseason run.
Some may say Flacco rode on the coattails of a solid run game and a tenacious defense that was rejuvenated by Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis announcing it was his last ride right before that Super Bowl run. Even if that was the case despite the number of clutch throws that were made by Flacco, guess how the Titans intend to win games? In that same exact fashion.
If Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel were to be interested in bringing Flacco aboard, the biggest obstacle would be Flacco’s health. He ended last season on injured reserve because of a neck injury and, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it’ll be hard for him to get medically cleared by any team.
