Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ohio State. Jeff Okudah. Cornerback. 5. player. 123

Current Pick: No. 17

Keeping the trend going with the Buckeyes, while Young is considered the best defender from this year’s draft class, as far as the top cornerback is concerned, Jeff Okudah seems like he’s going to be taking the title.

Ohio State’s defense has been fortunate enough to be one of the top units in the country over the last couple of years, and the draft will see plenty of their defenders go on to have successful NFL careers, including Okudah.

Plenty of teams will be looking to address the cornerback position in the first round of this year’s draft, and with the Dallas Cowboys facing plenty of pressure to bounce back strong after missing out on the playoffs this past season, Okudah would be a dream come true for their defense.

To say the Cowboys will be feeling the pressure to make the playoffs during Mike McCarthy’s first season as head coach in 2020 would be a huge understatement after seeing how the team embarrassed themselves last season by losing the division to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Okudah isn’t going to solve all the issues Dallas currently has on defense, but at least this would be a huge addition for the long run, and put the Cowboys in better shape to be a serious threat within the division.
