Oklahoma. CeeDee Lamb. player. Wide Receiver. Pick Analysis. 3. 52. Scouting Report

Current Pick: No. 9, No. 20

Did the Jacksonville Jaguars make the right decision in giving up on Nick Foles after only one season to pave the way for Gardner Minshew II?

In a way, the Jaguars seemed to make an unfair move in regards to Foles since the former Super Bowl MVP dealt with injuries early on last season, and Jacksonville didn’t exactly build the best offense around him to succeed when he was healthy enough to return.

But since the Jaguars already made their decision, all that matters now is the team does whatever it takes to build the proper offense around Minshew to avoid another disappointing season like 2019.

With that being said, Jacksonville is luckily in a similar situation as the 49ers and Vikings in which they have two picks in the first round, meaning if they were to trade up, the Jaguars would still be able to pick later on during the first night of action.

While DJ Chark continues to show a ton of potential as a reliable wideout for Minshew to work with moving forward, Jacksonville still needs additional help at the position, or 2020 will become another disappointing year like last season.

The good news for the Jaguars is with the No. 9 pick, there’s a strong chance that CeeDee Lamb will still be available once the team is on the clock, but also Jacksonville could miss out on the Oklahoma star with other teams ahead of them in need of help at wideout as well.

Depending on if the Jaguars feel other teams such as the Carolina Panthers or Arizona Cardinals are a threat to land Lamb, Jacksonville may have to pull the trigger on a deal to move up a few spots.
