7. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU

Hey, what do you know — another running back! Get used to it.

Honestly, Clyde Edwards-Helaire is one of the most intriguing fantasy options coming into the 2020 NFL Draft. If you’re looking for a do-it-all running back who can turn any touch into big fantasy points, he’s your guy.

Just look at what he did during his LSU career for further proof of his legitimacy as a fantasy option. More specifically, look at the damage he did in 2019: 1,867 yards from scrimmage, 17 total touchdowns and 6.6 yards per carry. Not only is a force on the ground, but he proved his receiving chops with 55 receptions for 483 yards and a touchdown.

Although he likely won’t be the first running back off the board, Edwards-Helaire figures to make an early impact. Especially if he hears his name called somewhere towards the end of the second round, he could wind up in a strong offense with a quality front five — making it all the more likely that he goes off like an M80 as a rookie.

Edwards-Helaire was a star during LSU’s run to the National Championship last season. There’s a very good chance that continues to be the case once he gets to the big leagues. Fantasy owners everywhere rejoice!
