244. player. 852. . Wide Receiver. Golden Gophers . Tyler Johnson

For a team with Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry as their top two wide receivers, this would seem like the last position Cleveland would need to focus on during the final two days of the draft.

However, with all of the trade rumors surrounding Beckham, whether they happen to be accurate or not, on top of the need for depth just in case injuries take place, it certainly can’t hurt for the Browns to take a wideout in the find round.

As long as Cleveland helps fill their other needs in the other rounds, a wide receiver this late in the draft could turn out to be a low risk with a potential high return if the Browns play their cards right.

Chances are that Tyler Johnson will be off the board by the final round, but if Cleveland catches a break, the Minnesota wideout would seem like the perfect candidate to join the Browns.

Not only did Johnson manage to find the end zone 25 times during his final two years with the Golden Gophers, but he has the physical style of play to potentially develop into a reliable wideout in the NFL.

But of course, Johnson’s struggles as a route runner along with lack of speed could play in a role in the wideout still being available during the final day of the draft.

At least if Johnson were to fall this far, this would be another scenario in which the Browns would have nothing to lose, and could see their offense find a surprise weapon for Mayfield to work with.
