2021 NFL Mock Draft: Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields are golden tickets
(Pick via Rams) Despite the inconsistency at quarterback last year for the Jacksonville Jaguars, wide receiver D.J. Chark flashed the potential to be a breakout player in the league. He’s a big-bodied target with speed to burn that can make big plays in the vertical passing game, especially with Trevor Lawrence entering the fold in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft. But outside of that, the weapons in Jacksonville leave a bit to be desired.
The clear focus of the 2020 draft for the Jaguars was to replenish the talent pool on defense after all of the losses they suffered and they did a great job of doing so with high-upside athletes now entering the fold. However, they need to get another playmaker in the passing game if Lawrence is going to be in the best position to succeed as he arrives in Duval Country.
Rondale Moore‘s diminutive stature at 5-9, 180 pounds and his 2019 injury are the only knocks on the Purdue pass-catcher. He was a star as a freshman with 114 receptions for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns but his sophomore campaign ended after only four games. Even still, he has elite speed both as a vertical threat and as a playmaker with RAC ability. He can be a versatile weapon that unlocks the offense with Lawrence at the helm.
