Minnesota Vikings: 3 Dream trade targets from Colts before 2020 training camp
By Dan Parzych
1. T.Y. Hilton
Numbers-wise compared to other seasons, T.Y. Hilton is coming off a disappointing 2019 campaign in which he caught just 45 passes in 10 games for 501 yards with five touchdowns, but the speedster still appears to have plenty of gas left in the old tank.
If anything, Hilton and the Colts should be excited over the wideout being able to get fully healthy enough this offseason to make sure that he bounces back strong in 2020.
Keep in mind that it was only a few years ago in which Hilton was considered to be a top wideout in the league with four Pro Bowl appearances in a row from 2014-17, and even though he will be 31 in November, the chance to return to that effective level is still there.
Hilton will certainly be in great position to develop chemistry with Philip Rivers after the veteran signed with Indianapolis this offseason following his release from the Los Angeles Chargers, but just imagine what he could do with a quarterback like Cousins.
All due respect to Rivers, but Cousins appears to be the better quarterback at the moment and would flourish even more with the addition of Hilton to Minnesota’s passing game.
Losing Diggs was obviously a crushing blow for Cousins, but at least someone like Hilton could help make up for the void left at the position.
