New Orleans Saints: 3 Dream trade targets from Bills before 2020 training camp
By Dan Parzych
3. Ed Oliver
As exciting as it was to watch Josh Allen take a major step forward last season for the Bills on offense, every football fan knows Buffalo’s defense is going to be the main difference-maker for this team moving forward.

Without Buffalo’s defense playing on an elite level, there is zero chance of this team making the playoffs this past season, and this could very well be the case once again in 2020, especially with all the changes going on with the New England Patriots.
Of course, with this in mind, the chances of the Bills willing to give up Ed Oliver in a trade appear to be slim at the moment since the young defender is coming off his first NFL season, and is clearly only scratching the surface of his true potential.
Despite appearing in every game Oliver only started seven games as a rookie in 2019, but Buffalo seems to have bigger plans for the former Houston star entering his second year in the league as a reliable starter on the defensive side of the football.
Acquiring Oliver would take a lot of convincing by the Saints, but also would make for a great addition on the defensive side of the football since the unit has established a strong reputation of their own in recent years.
Even if New Orleans were forced to give a high draft pick as part of a potential deal, when considering Oliver is a former first-round pick, this would easily be worth it for the Saints.
