Anyone who was paying attention in the 2019 season saw that the Cleveland Browns offensive line was a downright problem for the team and everyone involved last season. Subsequently, it should come as a surprise to no one that one of the biggest focuses of the organization in the 2020 offseason was to address that weakness, specifically at the two tackle spots.

Right at the start of free agency, the Browns were able to sign former Titans right tackle Jack Conklin, who has been an All-Pro-caliber player when healthy. After answering the call there, they used the No. 10 overall pick in the 2020 draft on Jedrick Wills Jr. out of Alabama. Though he played right tackle in college, he profiles as a player who could seamlessly move to the other side and be a substantial upgrade over Greg Robinson.

With that, it’s fair to say that the Browns offensive line is no longer a weakness. The one spot where they could potentially still stand to be upgraded is the right guard spot. They traded for Wyatt Teller last offseason and he performed fine. But if they wanted to make a bit of an upgrade still, they could look the way of Larry Warford.

Warford was released by the Saints following the NFL Draft after they selected Cesar Ruiz in the first round. While Warford is not a superstar at the position, he’s a veteran who has been above average for basically the entirety of his career. His arrival in Cleveland would give them no question marks in the trenches as far as their starters go and really help make that area a strength.
