2. Antonio Brown or Josh Gordon, WRs

The wide receiver duo of Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf give Russell Wilson some terrific options. Plus, Seattle heavily upgraded its tight end room this offseason. The Seahawks don’t need another pass-catcher, but a reliable third wide receiver could put their offense over the top. Against defensively stout teams like the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks need all the weapons they can get.

Recent rumors linked the Seahawks to both Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon. The two controversial free agents each made All-Pro teams during the past decade, with Brown looking like a future Hall of Famer at one point. However, the two former superstars ran into trouble off the field. Both receivers come with the fair share of risks, but they’re worth looking into.

Gordon spent some time with the Seahawks last season before facing an indefinite suspension for violating the league’s policies on performance-enhancing substances and substance abuse for the fifth time. Per ESPN’s Brady Henderson, Gordon applied for reinstatement this month, and Commissioner Roger Goodell will oversee his case.

Brown faces a longer road in his return to the NFL. The receiver faced a series of serious allegations last season before getting arrested in January on charges of burglary with assault or battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, and criminal mischief. If or when an NFL team signs Brown, the former All-Pro should face a suspension for his actions.

Several less talented receivers also remain on the market. Former Seahawks Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson need new teams. The speedy Tavon Austin could also add a new dimension to Seattle’s offense.
