Miami Dolphins turn their eyes to the offense in Round 2.

This selection is a bit more realistic than the previous two, though we could easily have a different opinion in April. Adding the 6-6 Leatherwood in the second round would be huge — no pun intended — for the Dolphins.

It’s no secret that the Dolphins need help along their offensive line. Football Outsiders ranked Miami’s run blocking as the worst in the NFL and their pass protection as the fifth-worst. There’s a reason Leatherwood was a potential first-round pick before he announced his return to Alabama. Miami could line him up on the opposite side of this year’s first-round pick Austin Jackson.

Once again, it looks like this year’s wide receiver class will be stacked. That depth is good for a team like Miami who could use more weapons for their young quarterback. Outside of Devante Parker, the team has no proven stars at the position. Preston Williams may be the only one worthy of a starting job, but he only played eight games before tearing his ACL.

Chris Olave is a proven playmaker and would add some highlight-reel plays to the Dolphins’ offense. The only concern is that the team could use an upgrade at slot receiver and Olave thrives more on the outside. However, his size and route-running skills could suggest a seamless move inside.
