The 2020 NFL Draft was stacked at the running back position, so it made sense for Travis Etienne to return to college. It’s not too late for him to change his mind and focus on the 2021 NFL Draft.

Most teams want a guy who can do it all and that’s Etienne. The 5-10, 210-pound back is arguably the most electrifying player in college football. In his three seasons at Clemson, he’s averaged 7.8 yards per carry and 56 touchdowns. He’s also amassed 1,600 yards in back-to-back seasons.

Teams looking for the next Christian McCaffrey, or Alvin Kamara will love Etienne. The Tigers leading rusher has big-play ability, thanks to his elite speed in the open field. Despite being a home run threat, Etienne runs with power and grit.

He’s elusive behind the line and creates his own lanes. He sets up defenders at the line and exploits gaps with an explosive first step. On third downs, he’s reliable thanks to his soft hands and route running. Etienne is an all-around back going into his senior season but he doesn’t need it.
