1. Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings

The rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings is one of the best in football. That would make this Week 1 meeting interesting regardless but the offseason these teams had only adds further intrigue.

Minnesota saw a ton of roster turnover entering the 2020 season. They overhauled the secondary, sending out Mackensie Alexander, Trae Waynes and Xavier Rhodes. While they struggled last year, it’s a big ask for young Mike Hughes and rookies Jeff Gladney and Cameron Dantzler to come in and replace veteran players in a Mike Zimmer defense this early in their careers.

The Vikings also traded away a major offensive weapon, wide receiver Stefon Diggs. As with the cornerback group, Minnesota is looking to replace Diggs with young players. On the Vikings depth chart, their current starting receivers are Adam Thielen and Bisi Johnson while rookie first-round pick Justin Jefferson will be in the mix.

For Green Bay, there wasn’t as much turnover as with Minnesota but the Packers’ moves were met with more negative reviews. Trading up in the first round of the draft for Jordan Love was curious, to put it kindly, as Aaron Rodgers remains on the roster. Meanwhile, they didn’t address their biggest need, wide receiver, outside of signing Devin Funchess, who then opted out.
