Plays on Monday Night Football vs. Baltimore Ravens

The defending world champs have their biggest test of the season in Week 3 as they take on the red-hot Baltimore Ravens. For the Kansas City Chiefs, this could be a great litmus test for them as they enter the week 2-0, but haven’t looked as dominant as they were to end the 2019 season.

Of course, not as dominant for them simply means Patrick Mahomes didn’t complete carve up the Houston Texans in Week 1 and they needed overtime to hold off the Los Angeles Chargers. And while it’s tempting to hold that L.A. game against them, the fact is divisional games can often be tougher than they should be on paper. Also, the Chiefs were planning for Tyrod Taylor all season and had to adjust on the fly to rookie Justin Herbert who was the starter after Taylor had his lung punctured by a team doctor.

This week, the Chiefs face a team that’s elite on both sides of the ball and for our 2020 NFL Power Rankings, it will help shake out who should be the No. 1 team. Kansas City has held that position for a while but dropped back after their OT win along with Baltimore once again having a dominant performance.
