NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys free-falling, Bills stay perfect
By Randy Gurzi
After beating the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Football Team over the past two weeks, the Cleveland Browns were 2-1 and looking like they were headed in the right direction. The question was whether or not they were a good team of if they were playing well against some lower competition.
They came out ready to prove they belonged and did exactly that as they were able to score a huge win over the Dallas Cowboys. Sure, the Cowboys are now 1-3 and not exactly a threat to do anything this season, but they have been able to put a ton of points up and everyone knew they would in this one.
At first, it didn’t seem like that would be the case as the Browns were up 41-14 going into the fourth quarter but then Dallas decided to start playing football. They pulled within three, making it 41-38 but a 50-yard touchdown run by Odell Beckham, Jr. helped them ice the game.
It was a coming-out party for Beckham as he had three scores — one which came on a pass from Jarvis Landry — who led the way to their win. The only concern now is how the defense let the Cowboys make it so close. If they can continue to improve on that side of the ball, they could be a team to watch in the AFC. The good news is, they’re on the right path and they’re making believers out of everyone.
