NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys free-falling, Bills stay perfect
By Randy Gurzi
The early going has been interesting, to say the least, for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They lost their first game against the New Orleans Saints but then reeled off two-straight wins against the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. While they had been winning, Brady has been doing something we aren’t used to — looking human.
He had three interceptions in the first three games and then in Week 4, he threw another which was taken to the house. And for a while, it looked as though he and his Bucs could lose the game to the Los Angeles Chargers, who were being led by rookie Justin Herbert.
Eventually, Brady got it figured out and had his best game in the pewter. He finished with 369 yards passing and five touchdowns — all to different players. He hit Mike Evans, O.J. Howard, Cameron Brate, Scotty Miler, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn for scores, as the Buccaneers are seeing how much No. 12 loves to spread the ball around.
After the game, head coach Bruce Arians was pumped up about how the team played saying it feels like things are starting to come together for them. They continue to look like they might be the team to beat in the NFC South as they rebounded from the New Orleans loss and seem to be the most complete in that division.
