We had our first COVID-19 rescheduling as the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers game that was supposed to be played in Week 4 was kicked down the road to Week 7. This came as the Titans were hit with a rough outbreak of COVID-19.

At the time of cancellation, the Titans had already been hit with 13 active cases, seven of those being players. For that reason, the league operated out of abundance of caution and shut things down for Tennessee.

"“The NFL just made its first postponement of the 2020 season as a result of the Tennessee Titans’ COVID-19 outbreak, but more games could be in jeopardy as more positive tests surface in Nashville. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, an additional two Titans players have tested positive for COVID, bringing the total number of current positive cases on the team to 13 members of the organization, seven of which are players.” — Cody Benjamin, CBS Sports"

While the schedule is set for them to play in Week 7 against Pittsburgh, there’s still no guarantee that they will be ready to go in Week 5. Of course, the health of the team is what matters most but too much time off could hurt them on the field — and after a solid start to the season, that could be a frustrating reality for Tennessee.
