NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys free-falling, Bills stay perfect
By Randy Gurzi
After a lopsided loss to the Chiefs in Week 3, on Monday Night Football, the Baltimore Ravens headed to Landover, Maryland for an in-state rivalry game with the Washington Football Team. This ended up being exactly the game they needed as they were able to shake off the loss with another convincing win.
Baltimore jumped out to a 21-7 lead, which became 21-10 at the half. Before long, the game was 31-10 and a late touchdown run by Dwayne Haskins made it look closer than it really was. For quarterback Lamar Jackson, it was a nice bounce-back after struggling to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
He finished 14-of-21 for 193 yards with two touchdowns and a pick. He also moved it well on the ground with 53 yards and a touchdown on seven rushes. That led the team in yardage on the ground as Gus Edwards was next with 38 yards and Mark Ingram added 34 and a touchdown.
As impressive as the win was, this team still can get better. They have yet to really see all their running backs hit their stride and J.K. Dobbins is still working his way into the lineup as well — and once he feels comfortable, he could be the best on the team. They’re still a team to watch in the AFC and should be in the mix for the North when the season ends.
