Stud: Ronald Jones

Ronald Jones put together another strong game for the Buccaneers on Thursday night. As basically part of just a tandem at the position, as Ke’Shawn Vaughn was the only other healthy running back and Leonard Fournette available in an emergency.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Jones made the most of the opportunities and did not give the team a reason to take him out of the game. Jones had his second straight one hundred yard rushing game, but more importantly, he looked impressive doing it again just like the game against the Chargers.

Jones is benefitting from good blocking from his offensive line, but he has also had runs in the last two games where he is breaking tackles and making people miss. Jones also added three catches in this game and he did not have any ugly drops.

Dud: Tristan Wirfs

Tristan Wirfs has been impressive thus far in his rookie season, but Thursday night he played more like a rookie than the Pro Bowl veteran we have been seeing. Part of this is due to his matchup as Wirfs was left alone with Khalil Mack on many occasions throughout the game. As the game went on, Wirfs play declined.

Mack was a force in the second half and Wirfs gave up a sack to Mack and had another sack negated by a penalty. Wirfs also had two penalties called on him during the second half and will also be remembered by having Mack’s hip toss him after a play.
