When Will the Atlanta Falcons Get Their First Win?

As I alluded to earlier, the Falcons should have already had at least two wins right now, but, they’re the Falcons. This is the same franchise that blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl and they blew a 29-10 half time lead against the Cowboys in Week 2 and a 26-10 third-quarter lead to the Bears in Week 3.

Here are the next five games for the Falcons:

  • at Vikings
  • Lions
  • at Panthers (TNF)
  • Broncos
  • at Saints

Atlanta should be able to win a game during this stretch and my best guess would be that they get that W against the Lions in Week 7 though defeating the Vikings isn’t out of the question. Minnesota is only a one-win team to this point and they just lost Dalvin Cook, who is easily their best player.

The Falcons have been able to move the ball decently and Minnesota’s defense has been suspect. That is a potential game Atlanta can win, but it being a road game and the first one with their interim head coach makes it less likely. A home game against the Lions is a more likely win for this lowly Falcons squad.
