DraftKings NFL Week 6 values: Running Backs
Our favorite running backs from the top shelf this week ($7,000 and over) are Derrick Henry (TEN vs. HOU, $7,300) and Alexander Mattison (MIN vs. ATL, $7,200). Henry is a no-brainer, and while we wish that DraftKings gave us a “backup discount” on the latter this week, we still love the matchup enough to stomach the price.
More from NFL Spin Zone
- Dallas Cowboys made the trade everyone else should have made
- Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sleeper everyone should be talking about
- Anthony Richardson putting jaw-dropping talent on display immediately
- Denver Broncos’ stud wide receiver might be out for a while
- Washington Commanders: Three takeaways from win over Ravens
Mid-tier marvels from the $6,000 to $6,900 range include James Robinson (JAX vs. DET, $6,800 and Miles Sanders (PHI vs. BAL, $6,600). Robinson has exceeded all expectations and enters a favorable matchup in which he can do damage on the ground and through the air. Sanders, meanwhile, faces a Ravens defense that ranks in the bottom ten in receiving yards allowed to running backs; only six defenses have given up more receptions to running backs so far this season.
We don’t often recommend David Montgomery (CHI at CAR, $5,800), but the matchup is too good to ignore, especially given the volume he’ll likely command. Rookie Antonio Gibson (WAS at NYG, $5,500) should continue his ascent in Week 6, and Myles Gaskin (MIA vs. NYJ, $5,400) is an NFL starter who plays the New York Jets, which is enough for us.
Bargain bin bounties ($5,000 and under) include Damien Harris (NE vs, DEN, $5,000), who had his coming-out party in Week 6, and D’Andre Swift (DET at JAX, $4,500), who is well-positioned to have his this Sunday in Jacksonville. La’Mical Perine (NYJ at MIA, $4,000) is an option for Zero RB die-hards who anted up at other positions.
Honorable Mentions include promising rookie Jonathan Taylor (IND vs. CIN, $6,400) and Todd Gurley (ATL at MIN, $6,300), who should outperform his price for the second consecutive week. Meanwhile, Ronald Jones II (TB vs. GB, $6,000) should thrive against a questionable Green Bay Packers run defense while Leonard Fournette continues to battle injuries.
