Stud: Damien Harris

In a game where not much went right for New England on the offensive side of the ball, another player that stood out was running back Damien Harris in his attempt to lead the running game.

During the contest, Harris was really the only thing working for the Patriots on the ground, finishing with team-best marks in carries and total yards. The running back managed to record 10 carries for 58 yards to lead New England.

Overall as a team, the Patriots finished with just 22 carries for 94 yards, being held out of the end zone out of the backfield and actually as an offense altogether.

Dud: Falling for the third straight game

After somewhat of a positive start to the 2020 season, the Patriots have officially hit a drought in the regular season and needs to turn things around soon before it’s too late. With the loss on Sunday evening to San Francisco in Week 7, New England has now lost three straight while dropping to an overall record of 2-4 through six games.

With every loss early in the year, the Patriots are continuing to dig themselves in a hole both within the AFC East and AFC standings as a whole. Exiting Week 7, the Buffalo Bills are starting to run away with the AFC East after taking down the New York Jets 18-10 to improve to 5-2 overall.

New England can try and turn things around and make up for some of the early-season losses in Week 8 when it travels to face off against Buffalo in what will be a very important showdown between AFC East squads.
