Play on Monday Night Football vs. New York Jets

2020 has not gone the way Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots hoped it would. After adding Cam Newton to play quarterback, they looked good in the opening few weeks but then things started to fall apart.

New England has lost four games in a row with losses against the struggling Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers being especially bothersome. Then in Week 8, they lost to the Buffalo Bills but can try and turn things around on Monday Night Football as they visit the winless New York Jets. And Cam Newton understands they have to pull out a win to get back on track.

When speaking with reporters, Newton said that they have to put October behind them and find a way to get some wins.

"“Listen, I just want to win. That’s it. Nothing else matters. October wasn’t good for me. We have to make sure November doesn’t feel like October. Monday night is good, but we … have … to … win.” — Newton said via Mike Reiss, ESPN"

There are several other winnable games on the schedule for the Patriots and that means they can still turn things around. It won’t be easy, but a win on Monday Night Football would be great for their morale.
