A rough season continues to go in the wrong direction for the Houston Texans. They did enter the weekend feeling like things were turning around after scoring their second win of the season in Week 9, but the fact is, both of their wins have been against the Jacksonville Jaguars. And now, in their seven games against anyone other than the Jags, they are still looking for a win.

Week 10 was an ugly one too as their game with the Cleveland Browns was delayed for roughly 30 minutes due to severe weather. When it finally did kick-off, the Texans spent the majority of the game trailing 3-0. They would end up losing 10-7 and had a missed field goal as well as a fake field goal that turned into a pooch punt that loomed large in the loss.

Houston once again put everything on the shoulders of quarterback Deshaun Watson and while he played well and did everything he could, it simply wasn’t enough. He didn’t have any playmakers step up with him and their struggling defense continued to have problems against the run, surrendering 100 yards to both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

Before this game, reports were surfacing that interim head coach Romeo Crennel could keep the job for the 2021 season but that idea is likely losing steam now. And if we’re being honest, it probably should.
