FanDuel NFL Week 11 Picks and Advice: Running Backs

Running backs are plentiful this week, and I think that you need to get at least one or two of the top guys in as many lineups as possible. Of the expensive backs, Dalvin Cook ($10,500), Alvin Kamara ($9,700) and Derrick Henry ($8,200) are all great plays. While I think Henry is the best value at over $20,00 less than Cook, they are all phenomenal plays almost every single week.

Aaron Jones ($8,200) is certainly an interesting play in tournaments, as his roster percentage is likely come in low in a tough matchup after he burned a majority of DFS players last week. I think Mike Davis ($7,400) can get it done this week against the worst run defense in the league, although he is certainly priced up compared to last week.

The very best value play on this whole slate may be Kalen Ballage ($5,800), who should handle the bulk of the work for the Chargers against an awful Jets team. Considering the Chargers should actually be playing from ahead, I think Ballage is safe enough for cash formats as well. Finally, Adrian Peterson ($5,100) is not the running back he used to be, but he can still put up RB2 numbers in a great matchup without much competition for touches in the backfield.

As for running backs I am avoiding in Week 11, Miles Sanders ($7,700) has looked great when healthy but is unfortunately stopped by his coaches with the signing of Jordan Howard and the announcement that they will be dividing work in the backfield. At his price point, this is certainly a situation I want to avoid.

James Robinson ($7,200) has also been the biggest fantasy surprise of 2020 but is unlikely to have a good game against a stout Pittsburgh defense. Jacksonville could very well only see a few red zone opportunities in this one, so Robinson just does not have the upside you want in DFS.

Finally, I am not throwing Todd Gurley II ($6,700) into any lineups, as New Orleans has actually been incredibly strong against the run and Gurley has almost no upside with the necessity of touchdowns to be relevant.
