New England Patriots: Studs and duds from Week 11 loss to Texans
Stud: Success through the air
Over the last few weeks and for most of the season to this point, New England’s passing game has struggled while the run game outshined that portion of the offense week-in and week-out. On Sunday afternoon in Houston, however, that wasn’t the case as the passing attack was on display throughout the course of the game.

As a team, New England finished with about 350 yards through the air with one touchdown, while the run game added 86 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Cam Newton finished with 26 completions on 40 attempts, throwing for 365 yards and one touchdown. The Patriots also managed to find eight different receivers with a catch attempt during the game.
For a team that has struggled through the air so far in 2020, the Patriots performed well in that area on the road in Houston.
Dud: Not being able to stop Deshaun Watson
With a limited amount of targets on offense, Watson has gotten off to somewhat of a slower start to the season but he did well on Sunday in the win at home.
In the game, Watson finished with 28 completions on 37 attempts, tallying 344 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He also recorded one touchdown on the ground, finishing with six carries for 36 yards to lead the Texans running. attack.
Watson is a good quarterback but one that hasn’t produced just as much as we have been used to see from him so far in 2020. On Sunday, he performed well against a top-notch Patriots defense.
