FanDuel NFL Week 13 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver
At $1,000 more than the next most expensive receiver, Davante Adams ($9,500) is in a tier of his own this week. Adams has been as consistent as they come, and is a strong play in any cash lineup and needs to accompany Aaron Rodgers in a tournament lineup. After Adams, there are very few top receivers that jump out as outstanding plays.
A.J. Brown ($8,200) is a nice play against a weak Cleveland secondary but his limited targets make him somewhat hard to trust despite his consistent output. Allen Robinson ($6,900) may be the most mispriced receiver on the slate, as he continues to put up WR1 numbers despite quarterback and offensive troubles.
Brandin Cooks ($6,500) figures to be a chalky play as well as a lock for double-digit targets, albeit against a tough Indianapolis secondary. If you are looking for some cheap dart throws, Michael Pittman Jr. ($5,600), Denzel Mims ($5,500) and Darnell Mooney ($5,100) are all extremely cheap options who figure to see 7+ targets in favorable matchups. If you want to spend up at another position, you can slot these guys in with confidence that they will at least pay off their cheap price tag.
As for wide receivers I am avoiding, the Falcons wide receivers certainly worry me against a New Orleans defense that has been heating up as of late. I will also be light on DeAndre Hopkins ($8,000), who figures to match up against Jalen Ramsey coming off two below-average performances.
There is also no way to justify Tyler Boyd’s ($6,600) price tag with Brandon Allen under center against a tough Miami defense. I would much rather play Cooper Kupp ($6,600) at the same price or Brandin Cooks ($6,500) for $100 cheaper.
