The Houston Texans had hoped to have turned a corner with a couple of wins over the past two weeks. They knocked off the New England Patriots 27-20 in Week 11 and then made it look easy on Thanksgiving Day with a 41-25 win over the Detroit Lions. With that game coming on Thursday of Week 12, they had a lot of time to prepare for their game against the Colts this Sunday and in the first half, they seemed as though it would be a close game.

Houston was trailing but it was a tight contest as they were down 24-20 at the break. But when the game kicked back off for the second half, they just couldn’t get anything going. Houston was held without a point in the final 30 minutes and even when they came close, they ended up dropping the ball — literally.

At the Colts’ 2-yard line, Watson was unable to corral the snap and the ball hit the turf. Indianapolis scooped it up and ended the comeback attempt. In the end, the only points in the second half came courtesy of a defensive play by Justin Houston who recorded a safety. At 4-8, the Texans have now lost all hopes of a winning season as things have gotten out of control for them.
