New York Jets (0-12) at Seattle Seahawks (8-4)

Sunday, December 13, 4:05PM ET

It’s about time the Seattle Seahawks got their act together. They’ve looked like a shell of their early-season selves, having lost three of their last five while Russell Wilson quickly falls out of the MVP race. Can the New York Jets provide them with a shot in the arm?

I would think so. As you may have noticed, the Jets are the only winless team in the NFL. While they haven’t necessarily rolled over for opponents this season, they obviously haven’t been able to notch a win either — there’s a reason for that. New York boasts one of the league’s worst defenses, which is particularly incompetent against the pass.

That should open the door for a bounce-back game for Wilson, who floundered in Week 13 against the Giants. He should have plenty of chances to dissect the Gang Green secondary, especially since the Jets aren’t great at getting after opposing quarterbacks.

The Seahawks lost their grip on the NFC West lead, and need to keep the wins coming if they plan on retaining the top Wild Card spot. This matchup with the Jets is a scheduling miracle, although there’s also trap potential if they don’t take this game seriously.

Prediction: Seahawks win 34-20
