FanDuel NFL Week 15 Picks and Advice: Running Back

Derrick Henry ($10,200) and Dalvin Cook ($9,400) are in a tier of their own atop the running back position this week. Even with his price tag, I think Henry is the one you want in your cash lineup, as he should be able to do what he pleases against the worst run defense in football.

Alvin Kamara ($7,800) may be my favorite play at the running back position this week. He is extremely priced down due to his worse performance under Taysom Hill, except it looks like Drew Brees should be getting the start. Kamara should see a return to his old production, especially with the Saints likely playing from behind.

Jonathan Taylor ($7,400) and David Montgomery ($7,300) are two running backs who have been on fire these past couple weeks, and both have another strong matchup in Week 15. After seeing 29 rushing attempts in Week 14, Cam Akers ($6,700) is in a smash spot versus the Jets, though they have been more vulnerable through the air.

Finally, there are plenty of opportunities that have opened up through injury this week. Leonard Fournette ($5,500) and Jeff Wilson Jr. ($5,800) could both see a heavy workload, though I would be more inclined to play Wilson in his matchup with the Cowboys if he has the backfield all to himself.

As for running backs I am avoiding, Chris Carson ($7,600) is simply not seeing the volume to justify his price tag as the RB4. He is also still dealing with injuries and has a brutal matchup against Washington. Even though he has looked great since his return from injury, I would much rather pay up $100 to get Kamara.

I am also avoiding Ezekiel Elliot ($7,000) for similar reasons, as he is dealing with an injury and has to deal with a tough San Fransisco defense. Finally, I will not be playing Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($6,400) as he has become a touchdown-dependent back, though he may need to find the end zone twice to pay off his salary in a brutal matchup against New Orleans.
