Predicting every game of the 2021 NFL Playoffs
AFC Divisional: Baltimore Ravens (5) at Buffalo Bills (2)
While the first AFC Divisional matchup was a runaway win for the Chiefs, the Bills and Ravens aren’t going to have as easy of a time. These are two of the league’s hottest teams right now, which means we should see a shootout of epic proportions.
Both teams immediately swing for the fences, pulling out all of the stops on offense in hopes of building and maintaining a lead. Jackson and Allen both employee their unique dual-threat styles, hurting the opposing defense with both their arms and legs. The touchdowns come early and often, even against two outstanding Ds.
This one ends up coming down to who has the ball last. The Ravens take a small lead with less than two minutes to go, but it’s just enough time for Allen to capitalize. In the waning seconds, he connects with Stefon Diggs (who ends the day with three touchdowns) to take the lead and advance to the AFC Championship Game.
The Bills have been one of the best teams in the league this year, and I expect we’ll see more of that greatness throughout the playoffs. It’s another disappointing end to the season for the Ravens, but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles for this franchise.
Prediction: Bills win 40-37
